Typical Premiership - Its Back

My Girlfriend has just said "I have lost you to football again haven't I?" me "Sorry what? Man Utd are playing Newcastle in a minute"

Typical Liverpool game of late in many ways.
I thought players looked up for it, as they should at home for the first game of the season against arsenal.

But

1. Lack of width
2. Ref let the game down with a bad red card decision.

3. Get a goal but struggle to get the killer 2nd!
4. Last minute avoidable goal.

  • Feel for Cole > should have been a yellow, red card and a 3 match ban a bit much.
  • Feel For Pepe > everyone makes mistakes, just his cost more. Lack of match sharpness may not have helped but had made a good save 5 minutes before.
  • Even feel for Lucas > Word is Masch looked good in training but Lucas best player in Pre-Season - and i am not a Lucas fan.
  • Felt Johnson should have dealt with the ball better in the final minute. But no excuse for such bad hair!!!

To be fair to Arsenal they had their big players missing, and STILL have a poor keeper (get Given).
Even when they have a lot of the ball and play against 10 men for a complete half, they still struggle to create the chances. The Gunners must choose to play guys like Walcott if they are ever going to compete for the big trophies. Walcott can not progress while he is on the bench behind pointless players like the Oscar winning Eboue (can't stand the guy).

Spurs v Man City was interesting. Spurs did everything but score (Joe Hart on fire).
But City's line up was poor.
I have no faith in Mancini, yes he won trophies with Inter when Juve were relegated and AC Milan docked points. How could he not win.
No team can line up with Yaya, Barry and De Jong and hope to go and win a match.
Yaha's £200k a week is just pathetic! He gives the ball away as much as he wins it!

Chelsea did the business - as you know they will all season.

Still think the mighty Blackpool will go down. But Wigan maybe down before them with West Brom

Great Result for Villa. Maybe O'Neill had reach the same place as Rafa > Stale and void of new ideas.
